Beagle dogs are infamously known for being forgiving, sweet, and trusting. Unfortunately, some people and brands take advantage of this.
Specific makeup brands are known for using animal testing to make their products. This is done by testing certain chemicals in the beagles’ eyes to see if any harm is caused, and conducting many other tests that cause harm to the puppies. These test beagles have been caged their entire life, never seeing daylight or even grass, but instead having spent their life anxiously pacing in their cages, hoping for a brighter future.
Finally, animal activists took the matter into their own hands and rescued over 1,500 beagle puppies, with many of them finally being able to belong to a home with loving owners, while others are finally getting to play with the other beagles in rescue facilities. These beagles’ lives have been saved in a way that finally allows them to play in a yard and get a taste of freedom while playing with other puppies.
The puppies that have not yet been rescued are being sent to animal shelters across the country, so that anyone in any state can be able to have the privilege of taking care of one of these sweet puppies.
The testing facility, Ridgeland Farms, is now set to give up their state breeding license in July after the mistreatment that they put these puppies through has finally been brought to light.
There are still many more puppies to be saved from testing facilities. One of the ways to discourage the mistreatment of these helpless dogs is by not promoting these animal testing brands, like L’Oreal, Maybelline, Clinique, Walgreens, and even Band-Aid, along with many others. Instead, turn to brands that have committed to banning animal testing within their brand, like e.l.f., NYX, Tarte, CoverGirl, Rare Beauty, and Dove.
