For the second time, a No Kings protest swept the nation, protesting the actions of the American government.
At the first “No Kings” protest earlier in Trump’s presidency, protest signs primarily focused on the actions of ICE. This time around, ICE still remained a center of protests, but now with the addition of the Epstein Files, rising gas prices, the overall actions of President Trump, and the US’s entry into war with Iran.
At Ocean Beach in San Francisco, CA, millions of protesters rallied together to make a human protest sign across the beach that spelled out “Trump must go now!” with “No ice, no wars, no lies, no kings” underneath it with an American flag.
An estimated 8 million protesters were all around the country protesting the current political climate, marking this protest as the largest single day demonstration in history. The largest protest group recorded this time was in New York City, NY, where an estimated 350,000 people shut down Manhattan.
Not only were there public demonstrations in every US state, but also other countries. Protestors all around the globe in places like Canada, Latin America, Australia, Europe, and Japan all gathered together to speak out against what’s happening in the US.
The first “No Kings” protest took place in June of 2025, only six months into the second Trump presidency. An estimated five million people participated in that first demonstration all around the country. This time, that number only continued to rise.
As US citizens continue to use their first amendment right and speak out against actions of the government that they do not approve of, it’s pivotal to remember that we, the people, hold the fate of our country in our hands.
