Watching Christmas movies is many people’s favorite holiday tradition. Some enjoy the cozy movies about love and some prefer the funny movies that are played at parties. Which Christmas movie is the best, though?

When the topic of Christmas movies comes up, one of the first few movies named is Home Alone, which is loved for many reasons.

“Home alone is my favorite because of the nostalgia, for one, but it’s just funny and has everything in it. Action, humor, drama, and it’s really well made. I think it’s hilarious and it’s my second favorite movie ever,” said Madeline Aldrich (11).

Comedy movies as a whole seem to be enjoyed by most people. Another movie that’s loved for its comedy specifically is with the Kranks.

“I like Christmas with the Kranks because Tim Allen is in it and the vibe of the movie is really fun,” said Amelia Baldwin (11).

Another Christmas classic is Hallmark Movies. Hallmark movies can be funny, romantic, embarrassing, or anything in between.

“My favorite Christmas movie is called Mistletoe Mixup because it is the funniest Hallmark movie ever and is a comfort movie,” said Ansley Hillin (11).

It seems that, this year, people are leaning in to the movies that will lighten the mood with a good laugh. There most likely won’t be an agreement on which single movie is the best, but there are plenty of great movies out there that anybody can enjoy this Christmas.
