The anticipated 68th Grammy Awards are coming up on Feb 1 of next year. With this year coming to an end, let’s see what music from 2025 is nominated for the biggest achievement in the music industry.
There have been so many new and amazing artists coming up this year in music. Nominated in the category of Best New Artist are: Olivia Dean, pop girl group KATSEYE, The Marias, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren and Lola Young. Many of these artists became popular with their hit songs going viral all over social media and getting millions of streams. Typically the winner of Best New Artist the previous year is the one who presents the award to the new winner, so Chappell Roan is expected to present this year.
Out of all the nominations, the biggest categories of the night are Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year. Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar with Sza and Sabrina Carpenter are nominated in all three categories. Bad Bunny was nominated for his hit album and song “DtMF” and Sabrina Carpenter with her album “Man’s Best Friend” and song “Manchild”. Kendrick Lamar and Sza are nominated for their song “luther” and Lamar’s album “GNX”. Lady Gaga is also nominated in all three categories with her song “Abracadabra” and album “MAYHEM”. The biggest Netflix movie ever “Kpop Demon Hunters” is nominated for Song Of The Year with their hit song “Golden”.
The artists that have the most nominations for the 2026 Grammys is a pretty stacked list. For the second year in a row, Kendrick Lamar has nine nominations in total. Lady Gaga makes a return to her electric pop roots with seven total nominations. Sabrina Carpenter, who won her first two Grammys last year, is nominated for six Grammys this year. Leon Thomas is also nominated for six Grammys. The KPop Demon Hunters are nominated for five Grammys this year including Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for their song “Golden”.
There are so many different musicians and categories included in the Grammys. It certainly is an eclectic group. To see who wins in each category, the Grammys will be held on February 1 on CBS.
