Wylie High School has a plethora of different clubs. There’s a club for anything that you’re interested in, from collecting volunteer hours to learning more about what field you’re interested in going into in the workforce.
Joining a club has a multitude of different benefits, and there are countless reasons to join one.
“Well, I found out it’s really good for colleges, and so that was one reason, and then I also just wanted to help out,” Saryn Smith (9) said.
All of the clubs offered at Wylie High would be impressive on college applications and some, including Hosa, even help prepare students for entering their desired career path.
“I wanted to be a nurse practitioner or either a CRNA so I was like, why not join HOSA for the experience,” Lilia Taher (12) said.
Coming to school five out of seven days a week, the days can all start running together, but being in a club can help students have something to look forward to.
“It’s like the only thing I have besides just the boring repetitive things; I have something to look forward to,” Lilia Taher (12) said.
Not only does being in a club add some fun to what would be an average week, but some clubs, including Key Club, offer students an opportunity to make a positive impact locally.
“I think you should do it because it’s a great way to give back to the community,” Saryn Smith (9) said.
