On October 23, Wylie High’s Choir hosted their annual dinner show, an after school event in the cafeteria accompanied by various solo, trio, and duet performances from students in the choir program.
In preparation, any choir student who wished to participate sent in a video recording of them singing any Disney song of their choice. The auditions were incredibly selective, and only a small number of students were featured in the performance.
“Everyone who wanted to try out sent in a video to audition with the song they were going to sing. The theme for the show was Disney, so we all auditioned with Disney songs. I sang ‘When Will My Life Begin,’ from Tangled,” said Ashley Judy (10).
Overall, the dinner show was an excellent opportunity for the choir students to show off their talents and vocal abilities outside of the choir’s traditional ensemble performance style. The choir’s next performance, their Holiday Concert, will take place on Dec 4 at the Cross Church.
All students are encouraged to come out and support the choir program.
