The Wylie High JV Winter Guard team is filled with many talented and hardworking people. They are known for their beautiful performances and vibrant colors but what also makes them great and talented is the connections and relationships they built as a team.

“My favorite part is the people.” Sofia Clark (10) said, “And the new people who joined this year are so sweet and nice.”

Winter Guard is more than just practicing and performing, it’s also about teamwork and working together to accomplish their goal.

“You have to work as a team,” Clark said. “If you all want to succeed, you have to precipitate and work together to progress in our competitions.”

Winter Guard is definitely a fan favorite with their colorful flags and dance routines but before every performance Winter Guard has their own way they prepare before getting on stage.

“We all get a skittle and pretend to cleanse ourselves to get the bad energy out.” Clark said, “And then we breathe in and breathe out and then eat the skittle and say YUM.” 

In all, The Wylie High JV Winter Guard team is packed with skillful and brilliant people who give it their all to give us beautiful performances and have created many connections and friendships that created a huge and beautiful community that they are proud of.
