After Wylie Way Day on Sept. 10, we had a follow-up day on Oct. 1.
The main point of this second day was to give us, the students, an opportunity to reflect on what we had learned and to come back and check on some of the themes we went over from Wylie Way Day.
During our second-period classes, teachers were instructed to take a few minutes out of class time to go over a pretty short set of slides that went over the follow-up. After reviewing that material, students were then asked to go over a short survey, which had some questions about Wylie Way Day and some about any suggestions or additional thoughts they would like to share.
This follow-up gave students an opportunity to voice their genuine opinions about how they truly felt about our Wylie Way Day, and it also helped give students valuable reflection time.
