On Friday, March 28, Wylie High School celebrated its annual Wylie Way Day Of Happiness, encouraging students and faculty to brighten the campus with positive attitudes and bright yellow clothing.
“Seeing everyone dress in all of their yellow outfits reminds us that we’re all united, and it shows the world that we want everyone to feel the same happiness as us,” Nandana Shankar (10) said.
Throughout the course of the day, students were shown powerpoint presentations on the benefits of happiness, informed of things they can do to stay happy, and were urged to reflect on the joyful things in their lives.
“Happiness Day is so important because it helps students realize the significance that being happy and positive has on their lives. If we’re unhappy there’s no way we can get through school. Happiness Day reminds us of that,” Shankar said.
