A typical day in high school is a blend between class time, studying, and socialization. For most students, their day starts around 7:00 a.m, when they frantically try to get ready and have a quick breakfast before leaving for school.
For some, school starts with academic classes, such as English for instance, so kids can keep up with the readings and class discussions. Every day is a priority to study, with many assignments and upcoming exams.
“I try to review my notes everyday,” Navraj Randhawa (11) said, “It helps me keep up with everything.”
Lunchtime, however, is great for catching a breather with friends because the pressure to keep ahead on homework and upcoming tests never lets up.
“Even during lunch, I’m thinking about what I need to study,” Channing Shepherd (11) said.
The last days at school are a mad rush in preparation for examinations, finishing assignments, and doing as much studying as possible. Outside of school, too, the serious work continues: hours after school are spent at home reworking notes, reviewing materials, and finishing homework in preparation for the following day.
