The “Gold Card Program” has commended Wylie’s contributing senior citizens by offering free entry to any Wylie sporting event as well as discounted entry for fine arts exhibits/shows.
School events are the meeting ground for any active or retired members of our district, but many fans consistently support our players yet are unaware of the attainable free admission.
The Gold Card is an asset for long term sports fans. With every event, a five dollar entry fee is required. Teachers and parents can support their students without any charge. The card is valid for a lifetime.
“It’s a great program, it gets senior citizens into a lot of events for free,” said office staff member, Jamie Green.
Some of Wylie’s core values are gratitude and celebration. This program perfectly symbolizes the principles of Wylie ISD and what’s at the heart of our district.
The founders of the card have expanded their eligibility for active duty military personnel and veterans to honor a wider range of residents.
If you are 65 years of age or older, a retired Wylie ISD teacher, active-duty military, or a veteran, you are eligible for the program. Participants complete a brief application on the Wylie ISD Website or apply inside the Community Relation’s Department located inside Wylie Stadium. The school board hopes everyone qualifying utilizes this program.
