The Wylie theatre program will perform their first annual Brown Bag show, How To Get Into College.
“Basically, it’s about a girl and two people she just met explaining to her how to get into college, but they do it in a lot of really questionable ways,” Tyler Hornback (10) said.
The show is comedically based on methods people use when applying for college, a very familiar subject for Wylie High students.
“I’m really looking forward to people seeing all the small, funny scenarios in the show. There’s one about this girl talking about her farm life being all depressing. Also, my character tries to make a monster come alive,” Andrea Betancourth, (10) said.
While being an exciting and entertaining way for students to spend their lunch hour, the show also serves a deeper purpose for the cast and crew.
“The show is being put on because it allows theater students to see how we’re supposed to act when being part of a show, especially for people who want to be a part of Blackbox and Mainstage. So come see the show. It’s funny, it’ll give you ideas on how to get into college, and we have a great cast,” Betancourth said.
The show will take place in the Black Box theater (Room 402) at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept 20.
