As the school year comes to a start, the Wylie High school seniors are getting ready to apply for colleges. For some students they know what college they want to go to and other students don’t know until they become a senior. But applying for college can be a hard thing for students because it’s their first time applying and they aren’t fully sure of what they need to do.
“Applying for college was a stressful experience, especially trying to figure out what was the best fit for me and my future,” Jaylynn Lowman (12) said.
College application process can be a hard thing because you are staying up all night working on scholarships and making sure they hit the deadline, so they have all the information in order to apply.
“I didn’t like how many questions there were and how most schools had different essays and questions, however I enjoyed applying for a rolling admission as I found 2 weeks of submitting my application if I accepted or not,” said Lowman.
Most people don’t know where they want to go to college which isn’t a bad thing, but it can be a lot easier to know where you want to go because you can research the school faster and get your applications in earlier.
“I wanted to go there after I visited the campus and saw the community. I knew it was the place for me,” Lowman said.
But after all the hard work and the stress you put on yourself you are able to see if you were accepted into the college you worked hard for since you were a freshman and you are able to celebrate.
“ I got into the college I wanted to now I got into texas tech and will be attending Texas Tech in the fall to major in pre vet,” Lowman said.
