As the middle of the year is approaching, seniors are getting ready to go off into the world. Whether it’s college, work, a gap year, or no plans at all, all seniors will be leaving Wylie High and starting their life.
“Moving to Dallas, and working in a salon,” Sofia Nilsson said.
When Phoebe Akinwande was asked her plans for after high school she had a multistep plan. A lot of seniors at Wylie are starting at Collin because it’s close, cheap, and a great way to get basics.
“Collin College first, then University of Houston, then interning,” Akinwande said.
“Go to Collin, cosmetology school, and work until I can buy a house,” Claudia Fernandez said.
No matter where they go, Wylie High has played a very important role in their lives. This school has helped them grow into the people they are today.
“Wylie has helped me grow by showing there is community. Lot’s of the time when I’m at school people are nice. Meeting new people is easy. You can just sit at a random table and start talking to people. I think the best thing Wylie has helped me grow in is being outgoing,” Leah Mendez said.
Wylie High has been such a tremendous help in making students successful young adults. And no matter where all our seniors go, they know Wylie High has helped them get there.
