The cafeteria here at Wylie features six different lunch lines, each generally serving the same meal everyday. Most students seem to pick a favorite of the six and remain loyal to it; waiting in line every lunch period to get their preferred plate. Some dare to switch it up, jumping from line to line throughout the week, choosing daily what sounds best.
After trying all six of them, I decided to observe these lunchroom politics and find out which line really is the best.
Walking through the lunchroom, Nachos definitely seemed to be the most common choice, with Pizza as a close second. The pizza line moved relatively quicker than the Fiesta line, but seemed nearly as popular.
Most students referenced either the Fiesta line, Pizza line, or International line as their go-to.
Nearly no-one mentioned the Grill line though, which definitely seemed to have the quickest and smallest line.
The Chicken and Traditional lines fell somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, with Chicken appearing the more popular of the two. Its line was consistent throughout the period, while Traditional’s moved through pretty quickly.
Overall, the student opinion leans towards the Fiesta line as the best one. The best choice really depends on your willingness to wait in line though, and personal tastes.
